BAIT & SWITCH! A Better Tommorow's website leads you to believe your family member is being cared for in a safe, comfortable, healthy environment by professional, caring, qualified staff. To say we experienced the exact opposite is an understatement. The residential facilities in Anaheim look like a movie depiction of a crack-house. The staff is completely disorganized, unqualified, unprofessional, and understaffed. When I saw the lack of care & honestly frightening facilities, I removed my husband immedietely. The staff responded with manipulative fear tactics to coerce my husband to stay, even going so far as to refuse to allow him his personal items and medications his insurance had paid for. At the time, we didnt know our rights, so we left without them. Later we found out this is illegal and we could have called the police. My husband entered the program voluntarily through his insurance, so we filed a formal complaint against A Better Tomorrow and were referred to a different treatment center that is wonderful. Now he's receiving the professional care he needs to kick his addiction. What a contrast!
