Do not use AFS
|
The allstate.com/mystreetscape site looks like it was cobbled together by a 12 year old. They provide a lot of "data", but no information. For example, nearly EVERY financial services web site provides a way to check the performance of: 1. all of your investments 2. one or more of your investments The AFS site does not provide any performance information that is meaningful. They have a +/- column in the spreadsheet that you can view, but there is no explanation of what the time frame is. Is this +/- performance for the last day, this day, the past month, YTD? I am really sorry that I went with this company. I will be shifting my funds soon. My advice is "shop around" and don't sign up with anyone who won't or can't provide you a preview of the tools they offer to manage or track your investments. Another example is this: Click the "Help" control on their web site. It takes you to a page that says "there is no help" and the page contains no navigation controls... just a very cheesy and very ineffective web site. They ought to be embarrassed by it, but they aren't.
