If I could give zero stars I would! We had to file a complaint with the BBB and these people actually told the BBB that they didnt have a file for us. They said we were NOT their clients! I have the contract right in front of me!! Now they keep calling my spouse trying to get the BBB review taken down and trying to get us to pay more money! WE ALMOST LOST OUR HOUSE BECAUSE OF THESE CROOKS! I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to do for them to get the job done and I did it fast. Clearly to fast for them because they kept stretching the process out month after month. Come to find out, they were waiting to get most of the money they charge before they would even file the paperwork. They told us they were going to file all the paperwork to have our past due balance paid in full and we didn’t have to pay it back, they said they were also going to get the payment lowered and didn’t do that. Their reasoning behind not doing anything we paid them to do was that Texashomeownerassistance.com program was no longer taking applications. Well, if that were true why the heck wouldn’t they have told me, this was my first question. Because Rick got so defensive on the phone when I asked why they only did a Retention on my mortgage and not what they said they were gonna do, I wanted to check for myself if what he was saying was even true. So I got online and FILED MY APPLICATION MYSELF, FOR FREE, AND GUESS WHAT THEY ACCEPTED IT!!! When I spoke to them they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about them not taking applications. The man said we just accepted yours, who told you we weren’t taking anymore applications? I told him who and he said don’t ever use those people, we don’t even like dealing with them because they are a SCAM!! THIS IS WHAT THE MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE PEOPLE TOLD ME, FIRST CHOICE GATEWAY IS A SCAM!! So when I asked for my money back, of course they no longer took my calls, told the BBB they didn’t know who we were, yet still are calling asking for us to take down the truth about them!! Well, there is no way I will do that!! Please please I am trying to save you $4500 DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! You can do what you need to do to save your house on your own!!! Each state has a mortgage assistance program. Just put your state name and mortgageassistance.com and you will find it!! These people are crooks!! They don’t care about you like they say, they care about your money!! THIS I CAN PROMISE YOU! THEY EVEN TRIED TO TURN MY HUSBAND AGAINST ME BY SAYING THAT I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING! Thankfully I recorded the calls!!! Don’t trust them!!
