Review 2/3/2011
|
In December 2010 a family member and I booked and paid for a trip to Peru. I paid with a credit card, the other party paid with a cashier's check. We received an email that indicated we would receive travel documents two weeks prior to our trip. However, we were not sent a receipt for payment, a confirmation number, or any type of information that would serve as a receipt.
After reviewing the itinerary we received prior to booking, we noticed that both of us were assigned to the same seat on both departing and returning flights.
We left numerous voice mail message for our "agent", Diana. None of the calls were ever returned. We also sent at least a half of dozen emails, which also were ignored.
After 2 1/2 months with no response, I made another phone call and Diana answered the phone. She was extremely rude and stated that she had "more important" customers, said that "my problem" was that I didn't have enough patience, and said that she "didn't need" to respond to the emails or voice mails because she had other things to do. I asked for the name of her manager, and Diana refused to provide that saying "he doesn't want to talk to you". During this phone conversation she indicated that she would contact me with confirmation information no later than one week from that day.
Of course, a week came and went with no phone call or email from Diana. After several phone calls, I was able to obtain the name of the manager and am waiting for his reply.
After we realized how unresponsive the company was, I checked out the reviews on Trip Advisor and found that, unfortunately, this behavior seems to be a pattern.
