WORSE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
|
If I could rate negative stars I would. I like to think I'm a very patient person when it comes to customer service because I've worked in customer service and understand that the situation isn't always what it seems, however, this was ridiculous. Let me start by saying that I bought out my lease on 8/18/18 and did not receive my (duplicate) title until12/15/18. I have filed a complaint with the BBB (t#1319329) but Kia's response was very light in nature, they seemed to have left out the crucial information like the amount of time that has passed and the fact they didn't initiate anything. I have had to call them at least 21 times since September, when I initiated the call to find out why I hadn't rec'd my title in the first place. I have spent well over 265 minutes talking to various representatives, getting a different answer every time as to the status of my title, being lied to that it was sent, being told I was wrong, being told they have no responsibility towards giving me the title, I couldn't talk to anyone in the title dept, nor do they make any outbound calls, etc. The list can go on. As of 12/15/18, I received the DUPLICATE title that was issued by the DMV on 10/31/18!!!!! Why did it take so long for Kia to release the duplicate title to my bank. I will now owe a substantial amount of late fees on top of my sales tax. Kia has claimed that they are not responsible for these fees and will not be reimbursing me. That it is not their fault, who's fault is it? It's definitely not mine, it's not my banks fault nor the DMV. If anyone is at fault it is Kia. Also, rec'd an email on 12/6 that I had a late payment notice. Apparently I was billed on 11/30 for PP tax, however, I never received anything in the mail nor an email stating I had a bill, only that it was late. I called to inquire and they couldn't give me a date and told me that I hadn't rec'd my title because I didn't pay them for the PP tax. What a joke! So I haven't received my title for a car I purchases in AUGUST because I didn't a pay bill that was drafted in DECEMBER!!! I got a bill in the mail on 12/8 showing I owed for PP tax and it was due by 12/17...hmm funny, so there is not a late payment then. I have never had such a horrible experience. And I wanted to make it clear that it is obvious that their customer does not come first! Buyer beware if you plan to buyout a lease. I have left out some of my experience because I am just plain exhausted from this fiasco. You MUST stay on them, complain and yell to get your title on time. I didn't figure this out till too late into the process and now I owe an extra $200 in fees and time that I will never get back.
