As Jessica and I quote "Well let me start off by saying North West college has very unorganized employees that make you do the runarounds. The purpose of having representatives is to help students with information which in this case it didn't happen"... I could not agree with this more!! I enrolled in the Surgical Tech Class in August 2009' with my curriculum in hand which was poorly revised from there Glendale Campus as footnote edits show on bottom of the Curriculum. And let me say was a BIG let down for my entire class and fellow peers, as we were all told we be taught,trained and certified if we completed the course. WELL IF I WOULD OF KNOW WHAT I KNOW NOW WOULD OF SAVED ALOT OF MONEY AND MY TIME!!! There are several, misleading and very astray things written in the curriculum here are a few pretty important ones.
1- clinical Coordinator will advise you regarding the schedule for CST preparation classed and during Clinical orientation session. The ARC/STSA threshold required is 100% participation and %70 Passing.
2- Practice testing,(never did) discussions(never did) and excersises(never did) will be required activities. Students must be in dress code while on campus
3- The college will cover one-time cost of the AST membership(which they did), AST Certifying Exam Study Guide(did not), ad the national Certification Exam CST through NBSTSA(NEVER DID)
4- Group testing for the certifying exam will be conducted on-campus(never did) prior to graduation(that we just found out CANCELLED for unknown reasons) The Affiliate Liaison or Clinical Coordinator will advise you of the testing date and time(never did as your not accredited)
Then North West College wanted all of my classmates to sign a letter basically to cover North West Best Interest as the now realize they have a problem with the accreditation and for me to sign the paper and say its ok (which I did not sign as the curriculum stated other things)
Then on 3/10/11 Mitchell Fuerst Vice President, which who I personally have emailed several times and phoned with ZERO replies to any of my many contact attempts, sends out a letter stating they would pay for the NBSTA exam! WHY WOULD YOU SEND THIS LETTER OUT---AS PAGE 5 OF THE CLINICAL GUIDELINES STAES THAT THE SCHOOL WILL BE PAYING FOR BOTH OF THEM ALREADY??? SOMETHING / SOMEONE IS TRYING TO COVER UP A MISTAKE TO ALL THIER STUDENTS MAYBE??
Oh yeah last day of my class was 2/11/11 and I still have not received me diploma and have called several times about this. And what disturbs me the most is the statement the Mitchell and Marsh Fuerst want people to believe as they have it everywhere facebook, myspace, twitter, Google there own websites is this

What about being accredited and not misleading your students who have payed a Very Good amount of $MONEY to North West, and with all the misleading and non answered questions from staff or vice president, you now have a group of students that passed your school, Have not received there diplomas, and was told today graduation was cancelled...BUT MOST IMPORTANT myself and peers are not certified and NO ONE will hire us because of it! Thanks North West College! I hope this will lead to a positive solution on North West Colleges behalf and also a public warning about the college. What I have learned for sure is DO YOUR RESEARCH before you get a huge loan amount from a school that is not going to fulfill there end completely :(
