There is not a low enough rating for Payless Water Heaters. I paid for a top-of-the-line Bradford White water heater with the twelve year warranty, and I have the paperwork to prove it. It cost me over $1300 because the installer, after installing the heater, told me I had to replace my water pressure regulator or he would void the warranty on the heater. I was not happy with this at the time, but I paid it and let it go. Not even 3 years later, on a Saturday, the water heater died. When the plumber took the heater in to exchange it, we found out we had a bottom-of-the line Bradford White water heater that is an inferior product and comes with a shorter warranty. Actually, any "warranty" is not worth much on a appliance that requires professional installation. The new water heater was free. But we had to pay for the labor to replace it. And we had to exchange our existing water heater for another six year one, because that is the one we have, even though our paperwork says we paid for a better one. I am not happy with that at all. In addition, the Payless installer damaged the water heater venting during the installation. We had to have that repaired. I have filed a formal complaint with the State Contractors License board. Payless Water Heaters had a chance to contact us to resolve this, but they have not. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
