I decided that I wanted treatment out of state because I work in this field and I think it would be easier on me to go someplace where I didn’t know anybody. Sovereign Health attracted me because of what it offers. It just seems like the perfect fit for
me. The facility that I am working at in New Jersey is a funded program. It is pretty tight, you know, two people to a room, four people, in some rooms 6 people. That is very common in a lot of sober living houses and rehab facilities. Some are very regimented,
to make you accountable at all times. Here they treat me more like an adult. This is perfect because I have my freedom and what I want to get out of this program is what I want. What they offer here is for me is perfect. A lot of people advertise stuff and
it turns out not to be. Sovereign Health has been right on the money, everything they advertise was right there. I am staying in the executive sober living house right now, because I was rewarded for how I attacked the program here. They knew I was serious.
My therapist is Jennifer – on a scale of 1 to 10, she is a 30. The house managers are excellent, too. They care about you, they really do. I am walking out of here soon and I feel like it is perfectly solid, as long as I follow the aftercare program. Basically
Jennifer probably saved my life. The sober living house manager, Sam, really got me into working out and really motivated me to lose weight, and I have dropped over 30 pounds. The staff here is top of the line. They are very client-centered and that is important.
You know, I work in this field and I feel being client-centered is the key. Everything here is about the clients and you know that is what they do great. I was a success story here because everything has been about me and my recovery. I was beat up and they
picked me up and got me back on track. I have learned new things about recovery. I have actually thought I was an expert, and I learned a lot of different things about sober recovery and mental health. I am going to take that back with me, and it is going
to help me stay clean, and help me professionally. This is like a little school. I have learned a lot of stuff, a lot of knowledgeable people work here at Sovereign Health. Come here, be honest, and let them lay it out for you. If you put your heart into it
you will come out of here a different person. You will come out of here clean.
