Bought the F1 Racing clutch/flywheel for 350z, based on their "Gripforce" E-bay postings. Unfortunately, I purchased directly with them over the phone - elsewise, I'd be able to complain to Ebay and Paypal (which I will, anyways).
The clutch lasted not even 7k miles. When I sent them hi-res pictures showing the damaged parts, I received this lame reply from Art:
"The damage seen on the pressure plate, disc, and flywheel is only seen on the contact areas. You can see that the clutch has been has been overheated extremely. This can be caused by numerous things. For example riding the clutch, defective release system, improper release system adjustment, or contaminated friction material."
In other words: no defects, so no refund..
I can guaran-friggin-tee that there was no "riding the clutch". In fact, the OEM clutch was replaced at 105,000 miles.
My mechanic was not amused with Art's other suggestions. He has since installed another clutch (OEM, duh), and it is working perfectly (and guaranteed for 12k miles).
STAY AWAY FROM SPEED SOLUTIONS/GRIPFORCE. THEIR CHEAP, CHINESE-MADE PARTS ARE SUB-STANDARD!
