Six years ago I had a great experience with eHarmony. I met my wife, and we've been married for over 2 years now and are extremely happy. I had such a positive experience that I have convinced a few friends to try also. Last year I bought a 6 month gift subscription for a friend. Unfortunately, that experience was not so great. After 6 months, my credit card was charged for an additional 3 months, and again a second time three months later. I didn't notice until the 2nd charge appeared. I immediately called to get a refund and was told that I couldn't change anything. Even though it's my card, my address, and my phone number - they would not stop charging me. I had to have my friend contact eHarmony for me, which was embarrassing for both of us, though I did finally get my money back. I will always be thankful to eHarmony for meeting my wife, but I will no longer recommend it to friends.
